Your responsabilities as a Maintenance Supervisor
Reporting to the Regional Maintenance Manager the incumbent of the position will have as main responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to maintenance staff through effective communication, motivation and feedback
- Train and coach maintenance staff on employee relations, Congebec policies and procedures
- Develop and implement safety initiatives for Maintenance team.
- Actively participate in the Congebec Health and Safety Program and hold employees accountable for their safe behavior to maintain product integrity
- Coach employee to develop effectiveness, accuracy and productivity by organizing and assigning Jobs through use of Guide IT system and other organizational tools, as required
- Responsible to supervise and coordinate all maintenance repairs in the warehouse, team’s overtime, and work with operational team to provide seamless support.
- Control maintenance budget expanses and follow administrative procedures with regard to budget management.
- Address employee issues including absenteeism, safety, conflict resolution, corrective action, productivity and performance management
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety rules and regulations and Food Safety programs.
- Embrace and follow all warehouse policies, procedures and standards
- Monitor team moral and constantly strive to engage your team to raise it.
- Conduct team meetings as required.

Qualifications and skills required
- Capable of operating equipment and working in a cold environment (-21 C°)
- Ability to lift loads up to 25 kg
- Ability to work with hand tools/power tools in safe and effective manner.
- Forklift/scissor lift/power jack and other mobile equipment certification is required to obtain within 3 months of start date.
- Computer skills (Understand Maint. Management Software -Guide IT.)
- Adopt safe behaviors in the workplace
Education and professional experience required
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 3+ years of previous supervisory experience with direct reporting relationships, warehouse experience or relatable skills, forklift experience.
